Bravo, Kaci!

THE EDITOR, Sir:

IT WAS heart-warming to read that a Jamaican is the head of the student body at the University of Alaska Southeast. Kaci Hamiltion should be congratulated for overcoming cultural barriers and being so widely accepted by her fellow students in a region that is so far removed from Jamaica, socially, culturally and geographically.

Indeed, this is one more notch in Jamaica's belt of international achievements and it further embeds the notion that Jamaicans have the ability to compete successfully with the rest of the world, no matter the task. Bravo, Kaci!
