10,000 get visas - Most Jamaicans granted entry under new UK regime
SINCE THE new regime for visiting the United Kingdom was imposed on January 9, more than 10,000 Jamaicans have been granted visas to that country, the British High Commission reported yesterday.

Mayors address unemployment
UNEMPLOYMENT CONTINUES to plague Jamaica. According to the Planning Institute of Jamaica's (PIOJ) 2002 Economic and Social Survey, 170,100 persons are unemployed, or 15.10 per cent of the labour force.
