Wishing to make a difference
published: Tuesday | April 8, 2003

THE EDITOR, Sir:

WITH SO much negatives in the world, and even closer to home Jamaica, it should leave us with a feeling of hope and well being when one hears of something good happening or someone doing something good, the real old time Jamaican goodness, that is.

I am being told of a lady, Ms. Sandra Campbell, who works at the Nuttall Hospital and lives in Belmont Park, Greater Portmore, who volunteered to collect a child from Wolmers Girls school every evening; she practically worries should the child have to take the bus at all. She is just a far neighbour, but one wishing to make a difference. These are rare occurrences, even though we are supposed to be a Christian country.

Much commendation to Ms. Campbell of Nuttall Hospital, I do hope your attitude influence those around you.

I am, etc.,

E. DAVIDSON
