THE EDITOR, Sir:WE WERE delighted to see the review of Susan Shirley's exhibition at Harmony Hall, in the arts section of The Sunday Gleaner March 16 by Sana Rose. However, there were several errors which we would like to bring to your attention.
One of the two works featured in the photographs, "Country House, St. Ann", was incorrectly captioned. It is not a giclee xerograph, but a water-colour and pen & ink.
The total number of pieces in the show was 48 not 29. There were 15 original water-colours/pen & ink, not five.
Only two of the giclee xerographs were "reproductions of the artist's work in her favourite medium, water-colour". As the literature accompanying the exhibition explained, the xerographs "are created within a digital environment entirely by the artist. Each work is an original in itself."
We hope this does not deter Ms Rose or others from reviewing our exhibitions. Thank you for your continued support.
I am, etc.,
ANNABELLA PROUDLOCK
