Conflicting choices

THE EDITOR, Sir:
I would like to inform Mr. Ed Bartlett, the Member of Parliament for East Central St. James, that we are from a small rural community, but our intelligence is of a high standard.
On the MP's second visit to Camrose I overheard some of the citizens discussing with him about choosing a JLP candidate for the Parish Council election. I am not a political activist but I take an interest in my community and I support the JLP people, as do many others, about the individual they wish to rally around as their candidate.
The choice of the citizens is very popular and commands the respect of all of us here, and I am reliably informed that these sentiments are been openly expressed in the other districts that make up the Spring Mount Division.
But Mr. Bartlett seems to support another person who many of us are going to find very difficult to support.
