Career sites buck the trend

WITH THE dying dot.coms, there is one e-commerce sector which you will not find on any headstone in that particular grave yard. That is because it is not there. This, the career.coms, are experiencing boom times. The stock values are not just being maintained, but are actually rising fast, for major job sites. Their value is soaring as investors shift their money from retail disasters to career site successes.

HotJobs.com has seen its share value double in less than a month, with other sites such as TMP (Monster.com) and Headhunter.net also surging forward. The reason is simple -people are waking up to the real value that online job matching can offer. The online career sites have created a valuable service.

The Internet has enabled a much faster, cheaper and more efficient way to connect employers with potential employees. The value career sites add to both employers and job seekers is tangible and enormous.

The Net has created an ideal platform for employers and job seekers to find each other.
