The due date is December 5-6. The second annual Mom to Be and Baby Expo, slated for the Chinese Benevolent Association's auditorium, promises to be another exciting and informative celebration of pregnancy, babies and parenting.

The Caribbean Events Group and their partners promise another great boutique event, combining shopping, seminars, free consultations and services for expectant and new parents.

One lucky mother will win a major prize of products and services for three months for her and her baby.

"Last year, we had a huge response and a captive audience of expectant and youth parents, eager for information, deals, tips and advice on navigating the world of parenting and babes," noted Lisa OGilvie, the expo's organiser.

Major parking facilities, shuttles, air-conditioned halls, workshops, free services, exhibitions and much more will make the 2009 staging a memorable one.

Under the patronage of Lorna Golding, wife of the prime minister, the two-day event will showcase a range of exhibits, great deals and giveaways as well as a main stage programme booked solid with great speakers, including representatives from the Paediatric Association and Jamaica Association for the Deaf.

Huggies Baby Derby

At the launch, Huggies announced the staging of the inaugural Huggies Baby Derby with the heats and finals being staged during the two-day event.

"This was the perfect event to connect with our Jamaican parents who use our products, and encourage bonding with their babies through this fun activity," said Sahran Walters from Kimberly Clarke.

The event opens daily at 9 a.m. It is free for children, with a special kiddieville, supported in part by major sponsors Gerber and PediaSure, for gentle and active play for toddlers and children up to seven years old. The popular Baby Lounge for breastfeeding moms, special seminars and Fathers Inc's 'Manly Briefings' for fathers are all features of this unique two-day showcase. Tickets, $400 each, are available in select locations.
