Jamaica's debt

THE EDITOR, Sir:

Will Jamaica be able to pay its debt?

This is a question on the minds of many Jamaicans. For any country to become almost debt-free, it would have to set specific goals. Jamaica is no exception. both the governing and opposition parties need to unite and rationally talk about possible solutions to assist our beautiful country, Jamaica.

Gloom and despair

The Government must keep in mind that achieving these goals will become milestones. If at anytime it let defeat, gloom and despair take over, these milestones will be converted into millstones, and this should never happen.

Second, both parties need to think positively by implementing a goal-achievement programme and convince themselves and Jamaica that these goals will be attained. We need to believe in ourselves and nothing in the world can stop our progress.

I am, etc.,
