HE IS NOW the man at the helm of the country's customs department and prior to that he led the spectacular reorganisation of the Electoral Office of Jamaica. He faces challenges and bears criticism without fear and is steadfast in his quest to see Jamaica be the best that it can be.

So how does this proud Jamaican man remain focused on his mission? He relies on the words of Psalms 91. The King James Version begins:

"He that dwelleth in the secret place of the most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty.

"I will say of the Lord, He is my refuge and my fortress: my God; in Him will I trust."

And ends: "He shall call upon me and I will answer Him; I will be with him in trouble; I will deliver him, and honour him.

"With long life will I satisfy him, and show him my salvation."
