Ele 'lingas' on Billboard

The flamboyant Elephant Man, known for taking dancing and excitement to new heights in the dancehall is the toast of many cities across North America as Nuh Linga is making crazy leaps on the Billboard Chart. Nuh Linga, which muscled its way to the top of every chart locally, now seems set to explode overseas and the energy god couldn't be more pleased. According to the deejay's management team, Nuh Linga was put in rotation on New York radio station, Hot 97, two months ago and the constant spins have surely paid off. It made its debut at number 100 on the Billboard R&B Hip Hop Singles & Tracks chart at the end of April and now sits at number 84.

Truckback 'Erups' for summer

Truckback Records is proud to announce the release of a unique Erup Summer 2009 Digital EP, now available on iTunes and featuring a diverse sampling from the crossover artiste. Starting with the breakthrough hit Click My Finger on the critically acclaimed Gearbox Riddim the 2009 Erup EP includes the latest Truckback riddims to take over the dance: The Dashboard Riddim (Mek Noise) and Ignorancy on the Ole Axle Riddim. The I-Threes reunite for Island's 50th

Rita Marley, Marcia and Erika, the legendary I-Threes will return to the stage at the Island Records 50th anniversary concert, set to be held in London on Tuesday, May 26. Sly and Robbie will host the very special night at Shepherds Bush, with a conglomerate of very special guests gearing up to make appearances: Grace Jones, Aswad, VV Brown and current United Kingdom chart-topping artiste Tinchy Stryder. Proceeds from the show will go to Amnesty and the Oracabessa Foundation. For more information, check out island50.com.

'Imperial Blaze' for Sean Paul

August 18 is the official release date for Imperial Blaze, the third studio album from Grammy-winning dancehall act Sean Paul. Sean Paul, who is signed to Atlantic Records, recorded the album in Jamaica with home-grown producers. The producers on album include Stephen 'Di Genius' McGregor, Arif Cooper, Jeremy Harding, Donovan 'Don Corleon' Bennet, Craig 'Leftside' Parks, Jason 'Jigzagula' Henriques and Delano Thomas from Renaissance Productions.
