There is a lot of island flavour and spice but not all the girls play nice in the new season of Pulse's 'Caribbean Model Search International (CMSI)'. Premiering tomorrow at 6:30 p.m. on CVM TV, CMSI follows the same formula as the local version of 'Caribbean Model Search' and sees eight international wanna-be models competing against each other via a series of model challenges to become the next CMSI reality star.
In the debut episode, viewers are introduced to Guyana's MeLeesa Payne, Barbados native Jodesha Nedd, Connecticut's Chantel Edwards, Trinidad fashionista Kerry Ann Murphy, Bahamian Royann Armbrister, Miami-based Tryce Scully, Guadeloupe's Olivia Mekel, as well as Jamaica's own Crystal Patterson. The girls are anxious to prove their worth to the CMSI panel - Pulse CEO Kingsley Cooper, Pulse General Manager Romae Gordon and social scribe Chester Francis-Jackson - which has the arduous task each week of eliminating the weakest links.
Focused on CSMI
Last season, Pulse model Rochelle Notice of Jamaica topped her international competition to be crowned the season's international winner. Since her big win, Notice, along with recent local CMS TV reality winner Crystal Patterson, travelled to Brussels in Belgium where they participated in the first Jamaica Fashion Collections. Now back on the island, Patterson is focused on the CMSI, but will she have the same luck as Notice or will former beauty queen contestants MeLeesa Payne of Guyana and Kerry Ann Murphy from Trinidad give Patterson a run for her money?
The girls undertake their first activity this weekend where their look, height, attitude, personality, discipline and commitment will come into play.
Over its 30-year history, CMS has produced some of the best names in the fashion industry, including Lois Samuels, Angela Neil, Jheanell Azan, Lincoln Wynter, Jaunel McKenzie, Nell Robinson, Gaye McDonald, Sunna Gottshalk, Oraine Barrett and Jeneil Williams.
