Boys' Town added another trophy to their coffers, taking home for the first time the coveted all-island knockout title, the Flow Champions Cup, and purse money of $600,000, following a 3-0 drubbing of Tivoli Gardens at the Anthony Spaulding Sports Complex yesterday.

Peter Keyes (31st minute), substitute Kemar Petrekin (72nd) and a defender's goal (52nd) accounted for Boys' Town's tally.

Andrew Price, coach of the winning team, said it was a great climax after nine months of hard work.

"I am very happy and elated that my team was able to win today," Price said.

'Stout-hearted game'

"They went out there and played a very stout-hearted game. Tivoli gave us a hard time, but we took as hard as they gave us and we were bale to come out with the victory," he said.

Boys' Town, having found the silverware elusive on numerous occasions, started with a vengeance.

Carlos Wright attempted to score first for the team from Collie Smith Drive, but goalkeeper Leon Gordon of Tivoli Gardens deflected his effort away from goal.

Keyes delivered for Boys' Town in the 31st minute, less than 30 yards from the mouth of the goal.

In the second half, Boys' Town doubled their advantage when Keyes took a shot that was deflected past Gordon by his own team-mate in the 52nd minute.

Petrekin sealed Tivoli's fate in the 72nd minute.

"We gave up a defensive goal as there was no organisation at the back of the field," said Lenworth Hyde Sr. "The Boys' Town team were more aggressive to the ball and they won most of the balls from us."
