Support Air J
published: Saturday | June 28, 2008

This is in defence of Air Jamaica. Sure it is not a perfect airline except for its impeccable safety record. Only a few airlines in the world can claim that. I love my Air Jamaica. It has won awards. Sure we would like to see it become profitable and independent of tax dollars. We are Jamaicans and we should support our national airline.

How many small islands or countries can claim a national airline like we do and with such a safety record. I am urging all flying Jamaicans to support and fly with Air Jamaica. I think the Government should sell shares in the airline to raise cash. The Air Jamaica name can be a moneymaker if marketed right. United we stand, divided we fall. Let's not make Air Jamaica go under. Every airline in the world today has problems. We Jamaicans are too quick to put down the airline instead of contributing to its success.
