The Editor, Sir:

I have to say it was extremely refreshing to open the online version of the paper today and read stories that point to the positive programmes and individuals that are making an impact on the youth in our communities.

Publish more of these, please! The hope is that stories such as these will serve as a catalyst to people outside the community who would love to help and are not sure how.

Conversely, the community impacted by these positive activities will hopefully bring more into the fold and create an atmosphere of learning and self improvement, instead of the hopelessness that has been so rife there.
