Dominica peeved at LIAT service
published: Tuesday | March 4, 2008

ROSEAU (CMC):

The Dominica government says it will be sending a "strong letter" to regional airline LIAT regarding the service being provided to the island.

Tourism and Civil Aviation Minister Ian Douglas said the government would be seeking talks with LIAT's management on concerns faced by Dominican travellers.

"We want to sit with them and make them understand that air access is a critical aspect in the wheel of development and we would expect them to be partners in the developmental process in Dominica.

"We will be sending correspondence to them in the strongest terms to see how we can address this problem and not let it escalate," he said, reacting to the latest round of flight problems for local travellers on the weekend.
