Deacon trial date in May
published: Saturday | December 8, 2007

The trafficking in person case against former church deacon, 47-year-old Donovan Jones, and the three male teenagers who are accused of sexually molesting a 14-year-old schoolgirl, has been set for trial on May 14.

The case was set for trial on Monday in the Home Circuit Court but had to be put off because of a murder case which was also set for trial in that court.

Defence lawyers and the prosecutors said they were ready to proceed with the trial.

The allegations are that, in April and May last year, the four sexually molested the schoolgirl and video-recorded the incidents.
