The Editor, Sir,
This letter is to the fine people of Jamaica, my wife and I have had the opportunity to associate with. We have been coming to Jamaica since 1998 for our annual holiday. When our holiday is over it feels like we are leaving home instead of going there.
A lot of you Jamaicans do not realise how fortunate you are to live in such a beautiful, luscious country, surrounded by some of the kindest, courteous people we ever met.
Special thanks to the people of Ocho Rios, Pimento Walk and Parry Town, where I rode my bike almost daily for four weeks. I had drivers stop traffic from both ways to help me out of a jam, which was usually my fault, because in Canada we drive on the wrong side of the road.
Thanks to all the people for watching out for us, it makes our stay in Jamaica more relaxing. You're a special breed of people, my wife and I enjoy the Jamaican way of life which we are just getting used too when we have to leave. Cannot wait for retirement when we can stay longer.
See you next year. Until then, Give thanks.
I am, etc.,
MR. G. BOOTH
