Man shot, killed on Charles Street

THE CENTRAL Kingston community was struck by violence yet again when a man was shot dead along Charles Street on Saturday morning.

Forty-two-year-old labourer George Brown, of Lyndford Street, Kingston 5, had been walking along Charles Street about 11:40 a.m. when he was pounced on by two men who shot him several times. He was pronounced dead on the spot by police.

Up to late yesterday, investigators were still attempting to establish a motive.
