Better water supply for Porus

PORUS, Manchester:ACTING DISTRICT Operational Supervisor at the National Water Commission (NWC) in Man-chester, Courtney James, has assured residents of Porus and surrounding areas that a more efficient water supply system will be implemented soon.

Speaking at the recently-held monthly meeting of the Manchester Parish Council, Mr. James pointed out that four new water pumps due to arrive in the island shortly will be assigned to Porus, Broadleaf and two in Comfort district.

While unable to give a definite time when the pumps will be installed, Mr. James said this process will take place quite soon. He asked that special consideration be given, as time will be needed to conduct mechanical and electrical operations before the new pumps could be installed.
