New appointment for West Indies Press

LINDA E. SPETH has been appointed general manager of the University of the West Indies Press, effective April 4, 2000. Ms. Speth holds the Bachelor of Arts and the Master of Arts Magna Cum Laude in History from Utah State University.

Jamaican drug-don arrested in Miami
MIAMI, (Reuters): FBI AGENTS arrested a Jamaican man suspected of leading a large-scale marijuana- (ganja) trafficking ring on Thursday and seized some 6,000 pounds (2,700 kg) of the drug from a house in Miami.
