Wolmer's Boys' School in Jamaica, the English-speaking Caribbean's oldest high school, has embarked on an eight-month project to build a modern auditorium. The new J$170-million structure will replace the previous wooden facility that was destroyed by fire in 1991. The initiative is being driven by old boys of the prestigious institution. They are determined to provide current and future boys a welcomed gift - a permanent shade from the sweltering Jamaican heat.
