Giving back to Jamaica

Birthday parties are a hit at Evita's too! Here are the Sagittarians at Eva Myers' birthday party on November 29, from left, Karen Dadd, Jana Brasht, Sharon Chatani, Tizian Censi-Doshi, Eva Myers, Judy-Ann Macmillian and Araceli Gallego.
Eva Myers can be called the 'Pioneer of Pasta' as she is probably the first entrepreneur in Jamaica to capitalise on this now worldwide favourite dish.
However, despite being kept busy as a restauranteur, the civic-minded Myers has also easily absorbed herself into the community affairs of Ocho Rios, and is fully serving in civic and charity organisations. Some of which include:
The Jamaica Hotel and Tourist Association - council member and chairperson of various committees
Kiwanis International - distinguished president twice and the first woman on the Eastern Canada & Caribbean District to receive the Distinguished Lieutenant Governor of Excellence Award.
St Ann Chamber of Commerce - president and, now, director.
Evita's has been in Ocho Rios for 20 years and is, today, readily recognised as the most popular Italian (with a Jamaican twist) restaurant in Jamaica.
