Mad Circle Entertainment, host of tonight's popular party series Osmosis, has partnered with Protect the Environment Trust (PET), Coca-Cola and WATA to undertake a recycling initiative at their events, starting with Osmosis Evolution at the Stables, Caymanas Estate, St Catherine.
All polyethylene terephthalate bottles (plastic bottles), cups, aluminium cans and glass bottles used at Osmosis Evolution will be separated from other waste by the Osmosis staff and stored in specific receptacles to be collected by PET for recycling. "An event of this magnitude tends to generate a lot of waste", explained Mad Circle director, Philip Palmer, "so we approached Wisynco, the distributor of Coca-Cola and WATA, to provide support for this initiative, as they share our interest in minimising our carbon footprint", he pointed out.
Recycling
All bottled Wisynco products, including Coca-Cola, WATA, Bigga and Ocean Spray WATA, will be among those earmarked for recycling. "As a company whose largest income is generated from our beverage brands, which are mostly bottled in plastic containers, we support 100 per cent the effort to recycle these containers," said Kimberly Lawson, public relations and sponsorship manager at Wisynco. Ultimately, all future Wisynco-sponsored events will feature this recycling element.
This recycling effort is yet another instance of Osmosis differentiating itself from other such affairs by embracing progressive change. Osmosis Evolution represents the ultra-modern party paradigm, and going green is now the way of the world, so Mad Circle Entertainment said it was doing its part to stage an environmentally friendly event.
Osmosis Evolution is certainly not your run-of-the-mill soirée and has been carefully crafted to meet the increasingly sophisticated needs of its patrons. On Friday, December 18, Osmosis Evolution will approach the realms of fantasy, as the promoters continue to evolve the event to provide maximum utility for all stakeholders, Mother Earth included.
