Asafa Powell

Asafa Powell, following closely in the footsteps of several world sporting heroes, will be hosting a benefit concert on Sunday to raise money for his newly launched sports development foundation.

The concert, titled A Night on Tracks with Asafa Powell & Friends, is scheduled to be held at the Lime Golf Academy in New Kingston and will feature a powerful line-up of performing friends, including Wayne Marshall, Tarrus Riley, Richie Stephens, Marcia Griffiths, Nadine Sutherland, Tanya Stephens, Elephant Man, Chino, Laden, I-Octane, Tessanne Chin, Konshens, Alaine, Jah Cure, Cherine Anderson and Freddie McGregor

The public is invited to support this concert and not just buy a ticket but contribute to the next great Jamaican feel-good moment when the next generation of athletes strives for gold on the international stage. Powell recently launched his track and field support initiative, the Asafa Powell Foundation, with the theme 'Preparing Today's Athletes to be Tomorrow's Champions'.
