Wealth manager departs NCB Capital Markets

NCB Capital Markets will lose another executive this month with the departure of Wealth Manager Paula Brown, who has terminated her five-year run with the organisation.

Brown says her resignation is effective December 31, but she goes on leave today, December 4. She says this is in no way related to that of Managing Director Chris Williams, who, too, has been with the investment firm for five years, but whose tenure officially ends January 30.

"I am not leaving because anything is wrong. I got a good opportunity and I am going to move on," said Brown. "This is for my own personal development."

The Financial Gleaner under-stands that Brown will be employed by a competing organisation at a management level.

The wealth management executive joined NCB Capital Markets in 2004 after wrapping up her own business in seafood whole-saling, a venture which went down with the arrival of Rainforest Seafoods.

Prior to this, Brown was employed by the Jamaica Agricultural Development Foundation in an accounting position.
