Spaces Limited celebrated its second anniversary on November 22 with a Dutch auction of selected items. The money raised will be used by the Rotary Club of Trafalgar New Heights to create a 'play space' in Back Bush, Mountain View. The venue was at the shop which is located at Shop G14, inside the Winchester Business Centre, just above Half-Way Tree in St Andrew.

The spirited auction at an anniversary party raised over J$250,000 for the cause, with a beautiful Manolo zebra-print armchair going for $176,000 after a virtual bidding war.

Janelle Pantry, managing director of Spaces Limited, said that she was "extremely pleased at how customers had embraced the store over the past two years, particularly in light of the global recession that has affected us all".

She said that, "while Spaces had contributed to increasing comfort levels in homes across the island," she was committed to help in providing recreational facilities for the young, in collaboration with colleague members of the Rotary Club of Trafalgar New Heights.

The club, one of the newest in the network of Rotary clubs in Jamaica, has committed to creating a play space in Back Bush, Mountain View.

One hundred of the store's top customers bid at the Dutch auction.
