Breezes to stage Octoberfest in Rio Bueno

Published: Thursday | November 19, 2009

Breezes Resort and Spa Rio Bueno, a SuperClubs super-inclusive resort, nestled on the pristine Trelawny seacoast of Jamaica, will be buzzing with activity and excitement as the resort stages its inaugural Octoberfest Event from today through to Sunday.

Having rebranded to Breezes on November 1 and following another successful staging of their annual signature event, Best of Jamaica, last week, expectations are high for another fun-filled and memorable weekend of excitement and glamour for guests and local visitors who will see full occupancy at the resort.

"Indications are that, though this year's staging is our first attempt at coordinating what is one of Europe's biggest festivals, we are confident of meeting all our objectives and to achieve a high success rate in our coordination of our version of this type of event," stated Burchell Henry, the resort's public relations manager. To help guarantee Henry's wishes is Brigitte Kraus, SuperClubs sales manager in Europe, who has been part of Octoberfest celebrations and planning in Germany.

"This exhilarating event will provide not only an unforgettable vacation, unforgettable for overseas and local visitors, but is a celebration and recognition of the diverse link and bond of culture, food, heritage and good times unique to Jamaica and, by extension, Germany," Henry continued.

Chance to win

"Today's proceedings will start off with a cocktail party and a performance by one of Germany's top three-man bands, Sudwind Buam, in a display of traditional music, song and dance.

The resort will also host several parties where guests wearing themed costumes depicting German fashion and wear have a chance to win fabulous prizes. During the event, some of the island's finest cabaret entertainers will be performing.
