WESTERN BUREAU:

THE TOP brass of First Global Financial Services and First Global Bank treated scores of clients and potential customers at a lavish event themed 'A Touch of Culture' at the Manchester Clubhouse in Mandeville, on Thursday, October 22.

The staff at the Mandeville branch pulled out all the stops to ensure that everyone had the kind of experience they are likely to remember for a long time.

The event delighted the guests, who basked in every moment. It began with a cocktail reception followed by entertainment from songbird, Karen Smith, who put the icing on the cake with an unforgettable performance lasting well over an hour.

Irie vibe

Worthy of special note was the large number of guests who braved the inclement weather and even arrived ahead of time for the 6:30 start.

Careful planning and organisation were evident and the entrance was beautifully decorated with burlap, a dash of calico and other bright colours. The columns were draped with the popular Jamaican bandana fabric. On the inside, the colours of the Jamaican flag were arranged to form a canopy across sections of the roof.

The vibe was irie. There was much loud laughter, some singing, dancing and clapping as guests showed their appreciation of the event. The rest of the entertainment package included Dwight Richards and Friends, Desi Jones, Christopher McDonald and Dale Haslam.
