Last weekend was a big one for former American Ambassador to Jamaica, Brenda LaGrange Johnson. Jamaican friends she had made during her tenure here were among many who travelled to the Big Apple to celebrate with her the honour of receiving this year's Hummingbird Humanitarian Award. It was presented by American Friends of Jamaica at the fabulous Plaza Hotel and The Gleaner's Lifestyle Editor, Barbara Ellington, captured the memorable occasion with the kind assistance of attorney-turned-photographer, Olubode Shawn Brown. Out in Montego Bay, Ocean Style Magazine and Kerry Clarke's Manwomanhome's annual fashion showcase was held at the Half Moon Resort in Rose Hall, Montego Bay, last Saturday night.
