Bamboo Village, blending two cultures

Take your friends and family to enjoy all that Bamboo Village has to offer with their spacious dining areas.
The influence of the Chinese on Jamaican culture is unmistakable. Especially as it relates to Chinese cuisine, Jamaicans by their eating habits have indicated an affinity for the delicious, palate-pleasing dishes from our Asian friends. Bamboo Village, a unique Chinese restaurant, has for many years given Jamaicans exactly what they desire.
Located in The Village Plaza, which is an ideal location in the busy Half-Way Tree area, the restaurant ensures that diners leave feeling completely satisfied with not only the service, but the delicious food. If there ever were a truly Jamaican-Chinese restaurant, Bamboo Village would be it, because of the unique balance between Jamaican and Chinese influences.
Good quality food
"We want to offer the best food, good quality food," said manager, Anthony Choi. "We use original Chinese ingredients with a Jamaican flavour."
Bamboo Village has been opening its doors to hungry and excited Gleaner-sponsored Restaurant Week diners since the event started a few years ago. Providing Jamaicans with Chinese cuisine for 15 years, the restaurant understands the unique palate of the Jamaican diner. With a spacious and creatively designed eating area, it provides a truly exciting dining experience and generally caters to the needs of families, business guests and other customers.
Diners generally represent Jamaica's "out of many one people" motto, with a combination of people with different cultures, styles and way of life, but all united by their shared love for Chinese food.
According to Choi, The Gleaner-sponsored Restaurant Week gives the restaurant an opportunity to give back to its customers. It serves as a chance for them to show their appreciation, while diners get to experience truly unique Chinese dining at competitive prices.
