Regarding Peter Espeut's article in the paper titled 'This world is not my home', I would like to add the following: The first recorded commandment that God gave to mankind in Genesis 1:28 says, "Fill the Earth and subdue it. Rule over the fish, the birds and every living creature that moves on the ground."

In Revelation 11:18 a warning is issued from the throne room of Heaven. "The time has come ... for destroying those who destroy the Earth."

Whether we like to admit it or not, this is a future event, and Revelation 21:1 tells us that there is going to be a new Heaven and a new Earth.

Unfortunately, this Earth has already become so polluted that the only way it can be cleansed of all the garbage, plastic, chemicals, etc., will be by fire.

At the rate we are going, I don't think that day is too far off.
