LONDON, England (CMC):

Reggae Boy Deon Burton is expected to feature for Charlton Athletic at the weekend, despite suffering a broken nose in the club's 2-2 draw at home to Norwich last Saturday.

The experienced 32-year-old sustained the injury following a clash of heads with Jon Otsemobor, but has been given the virtual all-clear for Exeter's visit to Charlton.

"Deon broke his nose but it was manipulated back into place at Carrow Road," Charlton head physio Steve Allen said.

"He saw an ear, nose and throat specialist on Monday and we expect Deon to be available for this weekend's game with Exeter City."

The game at The Valley in southeast London will be of special significance for Burton, who is on the verge of his 100th career league goal.

He notched his 99th with a diving header that opened the scoring against Norwich. It was the Jamaican's fifth goal of the season.

Burton joined Charlton on a free transfer during the January transfer window after falling out of favour at Sheffield Wednesday.
