A British illusionist has successfully predicted the lottery numbers.
TV magician Derren Brown appeared live on a British television channel at the same time as the nation's midweek lottery draw.
The stuntman wrote his predictions on six plastic balls, and again on a strip of paper before the official numbers had been announced.
When the winning numbers were revealed by Lotto organisers Camelot, Derren revealed his predictions to millions of viewers and smiled when he realised he had perfected the results.
He said: "I can't believe it."
Derren - who says he spent a year mastering the trick - is due to reveal how he did it in an upcoming TV show.
He was banned from buying a ticket for the draw.
Jellyfish attack
A US man pretended to drown before throwing jellyfish at teenagers.
Keith Edward Marriott repeatedly submerged himself in the sea at Madeira Beach, Florida, before lobbing several stinging sea creatures at a group of nearby youths.
According to a sheriff's office report, the 41-year-old man caused 'concern for his safety' with his 'loud and disruptive' water-bound antics.
Marriott was arrested and charged with disorderly intoxication and carrying a concealed weapon.
He reportedly had concealed a pocketknife in his swimshorts.
The jellyfish has a sting which can cause an adverse reaction in humans ranging from a slight discomfort to possible death.
Swept off her feet
A US woman fell off a cliff after her boyfriend proposed.
Moments after accepting a diamond rock, the newly engaged woman lost her footing and fell 10-feet down a rock face where she was rescued by helicopter.
The couple were on a walking holiday on the Billy Goat Trail when she fell and lost consciousness.
She is now recovering from her injuries, which aren't life-threatening, and is looking forward to planning her upcoming nuptials.
The well-known trail - in Maryland - is recognised for its rocky and rough pathways.
Assistant Chief Scott Graham of the Montgomery County Fire Department said: "It must have been a heck of a proposal."
