MOTOR RACING fans will get an added bonus this Sunday as R&B and dancehall singer Richie Stephens will headline the entertainment package of the first leg of 'Racing Extravaganzas' at Spot Valley Racing Complex in St Ann.

"Yes ... Richie Stephens and Friends are definitely on board for the event," said Marcia McDonnough, marketing and sponsorship manager for Turnkey Promotions.

"It will be a day of clean fun for the whole family to enjoy," she continued.

The event, sponsored by Turnkey Promotions, promoters of the annual jazz and blues festival, in partnership with Spot Valley Complex, Jamaica Millennium Motoring Club (JMMC) and the Sports Development Foundation will see two one-day meets for September 6 and November 1.

Money's worth

The marketing and sponsorship manager said that preparations for Sunday's staging were in their final stages.

"The track is ready," McDon-nough said. She explained that around 40 cars are scheduled for the meet and motor fans will get their money's worth.

"It's $500 for adults and $200 for children," McDonnough said. And, the marketing and sponsorship manager is upbeat that the meet will be a success.

"We're getting good feedback," she said.

The race meets will feature the JMMC sprint championship, rally cross series and quad racing.

Spot Valley Complex is located on 200 acres of land near the Rose Hall main road. Recently, the complex hosted international dirt biker Travis Pastrana and was featured on MTV.
