People in Brazil will receive a postcard if they have a sexual disease.
The Brazilian health ministry has launched a website which allows people to anonymously warn their ex-lovers if they think they might have caught a sexually transmitted disease (STD) or HIV.
Officials in charge of the sexual health sector say some people have difficulty telling ex-partners they have an infection and came up with the unique way to save infected patients' blushes.
One of the e-cards shows a man sitting in his underwear, with the words, "Hi, I don't know if this is the best way to tell you, but I've learned that I have an STD" and the recommendation the recipient visits a doctor.
Mariangela Sima said: "We aim to tackle these diseases directly and with minimum exposure."
Stick around
An Australian became glued to a toilet seat in a shopping mall.
The embarrassed 58-year-old was rushed to hospital to have the plastic seat removed from his bottom after he stuck fast to the powerful superglue which had been spread on the ring by a prankster.
An ambulance was called to rescue the man from the busy shopping centre after he became lodged in the toilet.
Paramedics removed the seat from the cistern and drove him to a nearby medical centre where waiting staff used industrial strength solvents to remove it from his derriere.
Cairns government official Di Forsyth said: "I'm disgusted that a gentleman has had to go through that because someone thinks it's funny. It's a sick joke."
'Lip-locked'
A fat-burning lip balm has gone on sale in Britain.
Burner Balm claims to be able to stop women craving calorific treats like sweets by suppressing their appetite and boosting their energy.
The balm costs £4.95 and contains soy oils, caffeine, green tea extracts and hoodia - which is commonly thought of as an appetite suppressor.
The cosmetic, which can be applied six times a day, comes in five flavours - pomegranate, vanilla, strawberry, acai berry and mint.
Their website states: "Best used on naked lips or apply under lipstick. You can use the product throughout the day when needed ... four to six times daily."
Birds on a 'high'
Two turkeys in Peru were cut open and stuffed with five kilogrammes of cocaine.
The birds were found with wounds down their bloated stomachs after they had been surgically filled by drug smugglers desperate to hide their stash.
Acting on a tip-off, officers searched a bus outside the city of Tarapoto, but were left puzzled when they couldn't find the mass of white powder they were expecting.
After searching the vehicle for several minutes, they noticed the birds were very swollen.
Anti-drug police chief Otero Gonzalez said: "Lifting up the feathers of the bird, in the chest area, police detected a handmade seam."
A vet removed 11 plastic capsules weighing 1.9 kg from one of the creatures and 17 capsules weighing in at 2.9 kg.
