What about Veronica?
In the article published August 24, on the call for Bolt's statue to be erected in Falmouth, reference was made to other Trelawny stars. The names mentioned were Frater and Mullings. What about the premier lady for so many years, Veronica Campbell-Brown? Isn't she from that parish as well?

Being unkind to Sandy?
In a country in which men and women dress up in long-sleeved suits for business and formal functions, often in dark colours and heavy fabrics, at 34 degree temperatures notwithstanding, what was the point of the photograph of Rising Stars contestant Sandy in Sunday's edition of the Outlook magazine, with a caption criticising her outfit on the show? Was it merely to be unkind?

Thanks, Harry Belafonte
I thought about what Buju Banton said several months ago about the reggae industry not paying enough homage to other deserving artistes. I agree. However, I would like to add Harry Belafonte's name to the mix. I do believe that Mr Belafonte's contribution to the world, with regard to music, is the catalyst to the popularity of what we now know as reggae. Mr Belafonte, thank you for letting the world know about this little island in the sun.

Remove high-power cables
I am calling on the Jamaica Public Service (JPS) to remove the high-power cables from the Ennis Bay Beach in east Portland as it is a major disaster waiting to happen.
I am totally shocked to see uninsulated high-voltage cables above the sea water on such a popular beach used by tourists and locals. JPS, take heed, you have been warned.

Build a new dam
I think they need to build a new dam for the Corporate Area because the population is more now, and clean the old one. Then we won't have to worry about water shortage that much.
