Samantha's primary goal in life is to practice medicine, more specifically in the field of oncology (the study and treatment of cancer). In pursuit of that goal she is currently a student at the Mount Holyoke College in Massachusetts.

Samantha's favourite hobbies and sports are swimming, dancing, reading, listening to music, playing netball, softball and participating in track and field.

She says she would most like to meet President Barack Obama because he is an inspiration, having overcome many odds through his determination and hard work to become the first Afro-American President of the USA. She has been motivated by his admirable qualities and whenever she feels disheartened in her quest to study medicine, she says she reflects on his journey to the White House.

She cites her proudest moment being when she graduated from Saint Andrew's High School with honours and was assimilated into the cum laude society as a result of a 3.96 GPA.

Samantha says of herself: "I am a very driven individual who enjoys learning new and interesting things. I enjoy learning world history and have a high interest in the sciences, hence my dream of one day becoming a medical doctor."
