NOTE-WORTHY

As one who has lived abroad for a long time and loving the music of the past, something tells me that the present musical presentation does not bode well for the country.
In the 1940s and '50s music that was presented to our people had an entertainment factor. The material that Eric Dean, George Moxey and others presented at different venues was enjoyable. Today, as I listen to the present crop of so-called entertainers, I do wonder what Bob Marley would say if he were alive. All that we are getting today is a lot of slackness being presented as entertainment.
I would like to suggest to these up-and-coming artistes, go back to
school and learn to project something that will help the society you live in. Remember our motto: 'Out of many one people'.

I wish to commend FLAIR magazine on the inclusion of stories on "driving and alcohol" and "sex and alcohol" in the feature on the big party weekend in Negril. You may have actually deprived yourself and the nation of the possibility for a gory front-page report.
This a good example of responsible journalism. These inclusions may actually save some lives and even some reputations. As a father of young adults who are planning to travel to Negril for the weekend, I thank you.

Petrojam should be asked to pay every cent seeing the condition of the Jamaican economy. While every other business is failing, they are making a profit and still not paying their taxes?
This is a serious crime against the Jamaican people, and if the nation is to move forward it's full time it be treated as such.
