Thirty-seven students of Ferris Primary School in Westmoreland listened with rapt attention as guidance counsellor Feona Vassell delivered the keynote address at their graduation ceremony on Wednesday, July 1, at the Cave New Testament Church of God.
Vassell, an ordained minister, encouraged the graduates to diligently pursue the heights of success. She also implored parents to spend more time with their children and explain their expectations of them. These strategies, she said, would push students to perform well.
Principal Paulette Hibbert charged the students to respect themselves and others and to avoid negative influences.
