Delroy Wilson released his first single, Emy Lou, in 1961 for record producer, Clement 'Coxsone' Dodd, at the age of thirteen.
Dennis Brown was not yet a teenager when he cut Lips of Wine for Derrick Harriott. Doctors said Brown, at age 42, died from respiratory failure.
Junior Tucker, once described as Jamaica's Michael Jackson, had a successful career as a child dancehall/reggae singer. In the mid-1990s, he switched from secular music to gospel.
Nadine Sutherland won the Tastee Talent Contest in the '70s when she was just a little girl. She still continues to record and be active on the local music scene.

Chevelle Franklin recorded Here I Am while still just an adolescent. In 1998, she became a Christian and gave up dancehall /reggae music.
Christopher 'Jhonny' Daley Christopher's versatility has made him one of Jamaica's most outstanding young talents. Most people remember him as "Johnny" from the '80s and '90s television programme, Lime Tree Lane.
