The case involving some 6,000 cubic yards of sand allegedly stolen from a Coral Springs beach property in Trelawny last year is to be mentioned on April 1.
The new date was set in the Corporate Area Resident Magistrate's Court Monday after the clerk told Senior Resident Magistrate Glen Brown that certain statements from the investigating officer, in addition to lab-test results relating to the matter, had not yet been received.

Bedrock Building and Aggregates Ltd, which is allegedly at the heart of the saga, was charged Monday in connection with the sand theft. Christopher Pryce and Devon Sterling, principal owners of the company, have been charged with conspiracy, larceny and breaches of the Quarries Control Act. Three other men were arrested and charged last year.
Allegations in the case are that last year, 6,000 cubic yards of sand was illegally removed from the property at Coral Springs, Trelawny, which was being developed by Felicitas Limited.
Following an investigation, Felicitas Limited sued hotel operators Fiesta Jamaica Ltd, which operates the Grand Palladium Hotel and Resort in Lucea, Hanover, Riu Jamaica Ltd, which operates the Riu Tropical Bay Hotel in Montego Bay and the owners of the Palmyra Resort and Spa at Rose Hall, St James.
A lawsuit was also brought against Bedrock Building and Aggregates Limited, which operates a mining and aggregate business at Lismore Avenue, Kingston 5.
Felicitas Ltd is contending that the defendant hotels knew the sand had been illegally obtained.
