Outlook for '09

Probably the most appropriate and simple assessment of what we should expect in 2009 is to say what used to be cannot be anymore. This is an appropriate time for everyone to stop and assess all aspects of their lives and their businesses. In many cases it is a time to think outside of the box and call in outside advice to get a new perspective.
In many cases, expense reduction, product and market diversification as a strategy may be needed to survive and grow but certainly merely doing what was done yesterday a little better tomorrow may just not be enough.
Change and the management of change is critical.
I will say to my friends, family and business associates that preparation is the key and there is no simple way to address the challenges without careful analysis and implementation of appropriate actions.
