The wedding of Richard Peterson and his wife Ali McGaw was published on May 26. The two had met five years earlier on a train to Long Island in New York, the United States of America.

Peterson was struck by Ali's beauty as she boarded and followed her to the same car on the train.

They exited at the same station and he realised that they were both attending orientation at Stonybrook Medical School.

He struck up a conversation; they became friends, eventually study partners and, as they say, the rest is history.

Their special day was Saturday, April 19, at Our Lady of Fatima Church in Ocho Rios, St Ann.

Ali is the daughter of hotelier Louis Grant of Sandals Dunn's River, and Debbie Grant, a retail consul-tant based in Ocho Rios.

Richard is the son of Dallas and Rosie Peterson of Shakopee, Minnesota.

The couple captured the special moments of their day on the fabulous grounds of Rio Chico for pictures with renowned wedding photographers, Jim and Stephanie Kennedy, from California. The reception followed at Laughing Waters in St Ann.
