Flair Bachelorettes '08 react
Published: Monday | December 29, 2008
After very successful Bachelor issues, this year's Flair had its first-ever bachelorette competition. The ladies finally got the courage to let us 'put them out'. And to our great surprise, they battled it out with the votes and, in the end, we had two Flair Bachelorettes.
Here they share their experiences of being Flair's 2008 Bachelorette of the Year.

Just last week someone asked me if I was still unmarried even after being named Flair's Bachelorette for 2008. Jokingly, I responded that the title is a shared one, so maybe the men are torn between us.
Seriously though, sharing the title of Flair Bachelorette 2008 with Nathelie Taylor has been a fairly good experience but it has not changed my life dramatically. I've received a few second glances, a few, "Is that her?" and I've reunited with old friends, but the biggest change has been with myself.
Normally I'm a get-up-and-go girl who pays little attention to her looks, but these days, I take the time out to comb my hair and avoid a ponytail, put on a little lipgloss or lipstick and look pretty.
So yes, I'm still waiting on my bachelor, but now more than ever, I'm confident that he'll find me.

Seeing my photo beside the header; 'Flair's Bachelorette of the Year', was at best, surreal! And, I'm still shocked that not only did I have the nerve to enter, but was voted (one of) the winner(s). The other ladies featured were stunning, so it was anybody's game.
Initially, there was great excitement among my friends. I received innumerable phone calls and wickedly hilarious Facebook messages on how thrilled they were for me!
That exhilaration has somewhat ebbed; my life's pretty much back to normal except for the sprinkling of interesting proposals. However, no matrimonial ones just yet!
Overall, it's been a rather fun, definitely out-of-the-ordinary experience for me.
