HARBOUR VIEW will be seeking to extend their lead atop the Digicel Premier League when they tackle hosts Rivoli United in today's feature game at the Prison Oval starting at 4 p.m.
Harbour View, who defeated Meadhaven United 1-0 at home last week, lead the standings with 32 points - four ahead of Tivoli Gardens (28).
The west Kingston-based Tivoli Gardens, who were held to a 0-0 draw at home by St Georges last week, face Village (12 points) at Elliston Wakeland Centre.
Third-place side, Boys' Town (27), are coming off an easy 3-1 win over Reno but make the tricky trip to face St Georges (23) at Lynch Park, hoping to be the first team to leave Portland with maximum points this season. Defending champions Portmore United (25), who are fourth in the standings, travel to Frome to battle seventh-place Reno (13), who are yet to lose at home this season. Waterhouse (19) travel to Constant Spring Complex to face improving Meadhaven United (12).
Arnett host Sporting Central
Meanwhile, Arnett Gardens (12) will host bottom-place Sporting Central (11), who are yet to win a match on the road this season, at the Tony Spaulding Sports Complex. Harbour View won their first-round match-up against Rivoli 1-0 at the Compound, However, their assistant coach, Donovan Hayles, said he is expecting a much stiffer game this time around.
"It is going to be a very difficult task for us because we are expecting a much tougher game from them than the one earlier this season," said Hayles.
"This game is very important for us because we only have a slim lead and we can't afford to make any slip-ups in this game. However, we are going to concentrate on our performance and make sure that we come away with the victory," Hayles said.
Harbour View's leading marksman, Lovel Palmer, who has scored eight goals this season, along with Kavin Bryan and Marcelino Blackburn, who have netted five goals each, will lead the goal hunt for the 'Stars of the East'.
Meanwhile, Rivoli (13) will be relying on their leading marksman, Devon Hodges, who notched a double in their 2-0 win over Sporting Central at Brancourt last week.
Hodges loves the ball at his feet and is capable of outsprinting most opposition defences.
