When one talks about movers and shakers in Jamaican entertainment, the name Yolan Zanders always comes up. Having made her name as the marketing manager of VP Records, Zanders is taking steps on her own as an entrepreneur, leaving VP and forming her own company.

Crystal Patterson not short on confidence - CMS winner heads into regional finals
She was shorter than most of her rivals, but Caribbean Model Search (CMS) winner Crystal Patterson is determined to make it big in the modelling industry. Patterson, who is 5'9'', said she did not feel as if she was at a disadvantage, although being at least two inches shorter than most of the other contestants in the CMS competition.

Audley Davidson handles changes at KC
Kingston College (KC) Chapel Choir's Christmas Concert 2008 last Sunday was an undoubted success. The audience filled the main seating section of the University Chapel at Mona, enthusiastically applauding every item, but one (that being one of four hymns sung by both audience and choir). Conductor, Audley Davidson, was also pleased.

Dickie Jobson is dead
Jamaican filmmaker Dickie Jobson died on Christmas Eve. Jobson, who ventured into film production with the romantic drama, Countryman, in the 1970s, was honoured by the Jamaica Film Academy in February at the first Reggae Film Festival.
