Use electric chair
published: Thursday | November 20, 2008

The Editor, Sir:

As a Jamaican living in the United States of America, I am strongly in favour of the death penalty. If the person can be proven guilty beyond the shadow of a doubt, he or she should be given this punishment.

Those who are against this punishment have not been exposed to the terrible pain these people have caused on the families involved and will only understand when they are faced with this tragedy. Thank God I have not been exposed.

Strong message

I am strongly in favour of using the electric chair or the lethal injection. This will send a strong message to these criminals. It will not solve the problem immediately, but will be a strong deterrent to this crime wave and the perpetrators will think before they act.

Someone needs to bell the cat. Why should they want to live when they did not think of the life they were taking? Enough is enough!

I am, etc.,
