Born and raised in the Garden Parish of St Ann, Renae made the journey to the Corporate Area in the hopes of becoming Jamaica's next top model.

"I entered this competition in order to become a prominent supermodel and this competition will expose a lot of opportunities for me to launch my career."

True beauty

Currently attending Brown's Town Community College, studying business administration, she believes that true beauty comes from the way one carries oneself. "I'm currently reading Rick Warren's The Purpose Driven Life and it teaches you to appreciate life and reveal your true inner beauty. You need inner and outer beauty to advance in this competition and I believe I have that."

Karnelia Livingston

Age: 20 years

"Karnelia in a nutshell is an ambitious girl who has dreams of making it big in the fashion industry. Also, one who is addicted to Monk the TV series and the music of R&B star Keyshia Cole," chuckles 20-year-old CMS contestant Karnelia Livingston.

Taking a chance, she applied for the 2008 CMS season and was successful in securing a top spot. Citing her experience as the best thing that ever happened to her, St Catherine native Karnelia relates how exciting the challenges have been thus far.

"I get to do things that I have never done before and I get to meet the Pulse International models."

The 20-year-old sales clerk relates that she entered the search because "modelling is something I always wanted to do and I have the passion for it".

Venise Barnes

Age: 24 years

Quirky and eccentric, this Westmoreland native perhaps missed her second calling as a comedian but is resolute in fulfilling her first calling to be a model.

After auditioning for CMS two years ago and missing the finals, Venise is back with a new sense of maturity and a bachelor's degree in Business Administration.

"I auditioned for CMS two years ago, but I wanted to finish up my degree first before I could dedicate myself to the world of fashion and modelling."

An avid Rihanna and Rootz Underground rocker, the 24-year-old bank teller says that her involvement in the CMS competition has been very fulfilling. "I was very interested in participating in the CMS grooming and deportment classes and I'm happy that I decided to go out for it again."
