My down time ... with Wayne Chen
published: Sunday | November 16, 2008

Businessman Wayne Chen

He is a lawyer by training and businessman at heart, and his recent appointment as head of the Urban Development Corporation has stirred some controversy. But, like all true patriots, Wayne Chen's heart is in the right place. He loves Jamaica, sees its potential, and is dedicated to the arts and culture.

My Down Time asked him:

  • What was the last book you read?

In My Father's Shade by Rachel Manley.

  • What music are you now listening to? I am now listening to a lot of Jamaican '70s dub.

  • Where was the last interesting place you visited? The Rock Tower in downtown Kingston, a demonstration of what vision and hard work can do for urban renewal
