The Jamaica Producers (JP) Group has copped the National Quality Award for Excellence in Manufacturing for the second year in a row.

The award, administered by the Bureau of Standards Jamaica, was presented last week.

Jamaica Producers, which is known for producing high-quality bananas, also won the 'Business Results Focus' and 'Organisational Focus' sectional prizes in the manufacturing category.

"The company is very proud of the awards," said Lisa Johnston, corporate affairs manager of the Jamaica Producers Group.

The National Quality Award is a results-driven programme, which seeks to recognise and reward Jamaican companies that demonstrate excellent quality systems in the production of goods.
